Finished!!

I just finished the first pass of the last song for the EP! All that’s left now is to touch up a couple of things and start the mixing process. Here’s a little taste of what I’ve been staring at for the last couple of weeks…

I know I’ll probably get a lot of “interesting” feedback from other producers about the ridiculous mess my projects turn into and how I could be saving my CPU a lot of trouble…  But this is just how I work right now and I can’t really argue with the results.

Oh yeah… Here’s what it sounds like:  (The audio sample is very low quality on purpose)

The new IDMf release is out!  As far as I’m concerned, the folks at IDMf Netlabel have their fingers firmly on the pulse of forward thinking IDM and electronic music.  I look forward to their releases so much because they’re all so different.  The quality of the artists and production shines bright and whether I regularly listen to that particular genre is really unimportant.  It’s that good.  Case in point, this time around Silent Stranger presents us with a mysterious glitched out 6 track audio gem!

Return From the Burn & A New Release!

Posted in Announcements, Features, Singles with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on September 10, 2010 by Anodyne

It’s only been a week but it seems like I haven’t posted anything on here in months!  I’m back from another fantastic Burningman (absolutely one of the best I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing!)  If you were out on the playa this year and stopped by Dustfish at 6:30 and Esplanade you know what I’m talking about.  Post Apocalyptic sheet metal city scape?  Check.  Live interactive video screens?  Check.  Incredible live music?  Check.  Giant remote controlled sonic assault robot?  CHECK!!

Checking through my emails this week I was ecstatic to find out that the IDMf netlabel has released the much anticipated 10th iteration of their compilation series!!

IDMf010: Between the Silence and Story is now available for [FREE/Donation] download!!  The IDMf netlabel and community have yet again put together a phenomenal collection of independent electronic music!  It’s hard to imagine their releases getting any better but somehow they just keep raising the bar!  Anodyne Industries represents on this comp with the revamped “classic”, “Body Weapon”.  If you’ve caught any of my live performances you’ll probably recognize this one.

You can find out more details on the release on the IDMf Netlabel Website or download it directly HERE.  You can stream the entire release below (assuming I embeded the Soundcloud set properly).

IDMf008: Anodyne Industries ‘The Gateway EP’

Posted in Announcements with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on April 20, 2010 by Anodyne

Released 4/20/2010, “The Gateway EP” marks Anodyne Industries’ first official debut with 5 tracks of epic bass music.

The title song, “The Gateway” starts the release off with cavernous atmospherics, otherworldly chants and a creeping bassline infused with heavy distortion and rich feedback.  “I Would Die For You (Remix)” leans heavily on melodic trance inspired vocals with a wickedly punishing basslines all set to a face melting dubstep beat.  “Consigned To Oblivioun” dips back into deep uncharted territories with mournful synth melodies, strings filled with yearning and hope and technical rhythms throughout.  Things get whipped back up to another fever pitch with another dubstep stormer called, “Make It Darker” (and it certainly is!)  Finally, the EP rounds off with a technical acid-infused DnB romp with “Blood Train”.

You can download the album for free at the IDMf Netlabel Website
