“The Combat Singles” got your attention, “From the Depths” set your anticipation on a slow boil and the EP is rolling along in the studio full-steam-ahead!!  I know it’s still a couple months of waiting until the release… so with the help of my awesome girlfriend I’ve pulled together some resources and have a little something to help pass the time.

Alright you subfreq-vultures!  Get your Anodyne Industries Stickers now!  We’ve printed off a limited run of these suckers and don’t expect them to last long.  If you’re at one of my shows or see me on the street I’ll have these on me so feel free to ask for one.  Or two!  For those of you who don’t live around here I can still hook you up.  Just send me an email with your address and I’ll send them to you.

Of course, if you’re serious about the Anodyne Industries project and want to start your own local platoon of the Anti-Apathy Sonic Warfare Army we can work out a way for me to send you a “street team” pack of stickers (for a very small fee).  Just let me know!

I got so excited about the new material I’ve been cranking out lately that I’ve decided to “leak” a free preview single from my forthcoming EP today!!  “From The Depths” is now available as a free download from my BandCamp page.  Hurry though, this is a limited time offer and the track won’t be available for long!  If your ears are happy hit the SHARE button!!

This Just In: According to Sublogic.fm, “This track eats goofy midrange wobblers as snacks & shits out their silly air horns in its wake deep, deep beneath the sea where, deservedly, they will never be heard from again.”  Need I say more?

Return From the Burn & A New Release!

Posted in Announcements, Features, Singles with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on September 10, 2010 by Anodyne

It’s only been a week but it seems like I haven’t posted anything on here in months!  I’m back from another fantastic Burningman (absolutely one of the best I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing!)  If you were out on the playa this year and stopped by Dustfish at 6:30 and Esplanade you know what I’m talking about.  Post Apocalyptic sheet metal city scape?  Check.  Live interactive video screens?  Check.  Incredible live music?  Check.  Giant remote controlled sonic assault robot?  CHECK!!

Checking through my emails this week I was ecstatic to find out that the IDMf netlabel has released the much anticipated 10th iteration of their compilation series!!

IDMf010: Between the Silence and Story is now available for [FREE/Donation] download!!  The IDMf netlabel and community have yet again put together a phenomenal collection of independent electronic music!  It’s hard to imagine their releases getting any better but somehow they just keep raising the bar!  Anodyne Industries represents on this comp with the revamped “classic”, “Body Weapon”.  If you’ve caught any of my live performances you’ll probably recognize this one.

You can find out more details on the release on the IDMf Netlabel Website or download it directly HERE.  You can stream the entire release below (assuming I embeded the Soundcloud set properly).

AI: Countermeasures 03

Posted in Mixes with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on August 26, 2010 by Anodyne

This episode of Countermeasures is brought to you by the letters A and ITransmission 03 drifts through layers of 170 bpm beats from dark ambience to glitch and forward thinking DnB.  It’s hard to imagine that this entire mix is all the same speed (with the exception of the last song…)  This just goes to show that if so many different beats can be worked into a mix on one speed, imagine what a DJ can do with multiple BPMs!

Tracklist:

Anthony Rother – Databank/Nuklearer Winter
Panacea & Xingu Hill – The Outpost
Hecq – 0006
Bop – Random Thoughts
Ibunshi – Luminous Two
Dj Teebee – Bioform
Royalston – The Test
Paperclip – Mechadroid
Misanthrop – Going Down
Broken Note – Meltdown
Heist – Sprout (Breakage Remix)
How To Destroy Angels – The Space In Between
Access To Arasaka – Waiting War

Anodyne Industries hasn’t ever been about making music that can easily be categorized.  It’s been about pummeling your eardrums with awe inspiring sounds, breaking through the barriers of musical apathy and transforming listeners on the dancefloor from passive drones into a surging mass of pure energy hellbent on reaching the stars!!

After releasing “The Combat Singles” I took a break from those fast paced & hard hitting basslines to dip into the murky abyss of dub and distortion.  The expedition was a success and I’ve unearthed a seething brooder of a tune.  “From The Depths” will be released some time in September as a special preview for an upcoming EP.

In the mean time, if you haven’t already, stop by my Facebook Page and hit take “like” button.  In the future I’ll be dropping some special “VIP” releases and other goodies for my mailing list fans and Facebook followers only!

IDMf008: Anodyne Industries ‘The Gateway EP’

Posted in Announcements with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on April 20, 2010 by Anodyne

Released 4/20/2010, “The Gateway EP” marks Anodyne Industries’ first official debut with 5 tracks of epic bass music.

The title song, “The Gateway” starts the release off with cavernous atmospherics, otherworldly chants and a creeping bassline infused with heavy distortion and rich feedback.  “I Would Die For You (Remix)” leans heavily on melodic trance inspired vocals with a wickedly punishing basslines all set to a face melting dubstep beat.  “Consigned To Oblivioun” dips back into deep uncharted territories with mournful synth melodies, strings filled with yearning and hope and technical rhythms throughout.  Things get whipped back up to another fever pitch with another dubstep stormer called, “Make It Darker” (and it certainly is!)  Finally, the EP rounds off with a technical acid-infused DnB romp with “Blood Train”.

You can download the album for free at the IDMf Netlabel Website
