Finished!!

Posted in Announcements with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , on November 23, 2010 by Anodyne

I just finished the first pass of the last song for the EP! All that’s left now is to touch up a couple of things and start the mixing process. Here’s a little taste of what I’ve been staring at for the last couple of weeks…

I know I’ll probably get a lot of “interesting” feedback from other producers about the ridiculous mess my projects turn into and how I could be saving my CPU a lot of trouble…  But this is just how I work right now and I can’t really argue with the results.

Oh yeah… Here’s what it sounds like:  (The audio sample is very low quality on purpose)

AI: Countermeasures 04

As promised, here’s the latest episode of countermeasures!  I recorded my live set from the Pure Evil show and just trimmed out the minute or two of silence in the middle where we had some technical difficulties.  Buckle up, this one gets heavy…

Anodyne Industries Has Merch!! (?)

“The Combat Singles” got your attention, “From the Depths” set your anticipation on a slow boil and the EP is rolling along in the studio full-steam-ahead!!  I know it’s still a couple months of waiting until the release… so with the help of my awesome girlfriend I’ve pulled together some resources and have a little something to help pass the time.

Alright you subfreq-vultures!  Get your Anodyne Industries Stickers now!  We’ve printed off a limited run of these suckers and don’t expect them to last long.  If you’re at one of my shows or see me on the street I’ll have these on me so feel free to ask for one.  Or two!  For those of you who don’t live around here I can still hook you up.  Just send me an email with your address and I’ll send them to you.

Of course, if you’re serious about the Anodyne Industries project and want to start your own local platoon of the Anti-Apathy Sonic Warfare Army we can work out a way for me to send you a “street team” pack of stickers (for a very small fee).  Just let me know!

Return From the Burn & A New Release!

It’s only been a week but it seems like I haven’t posted anything on here in months!  I’m back from another fantastic Burningman (absolutely one of the best I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing!)  If you were out on the playa this year and stopped by Dustfish at 6:30 and Esplanade you know what I’m talking about.  Post Apocalyptic sheet metal city scape?  Check.  Live interactive video screens?  Check.  Incredible live music?  Check.  Giant remote controlled sonic assault robot?  CHECK!!

Checking through my emails this week I was ecstatic to find out that the IDMf netlabel has released the much anticipated 10th iteration of their compilation series!!

IDMf010: Between the Silence and Story is now available for [FREE/Donation] download!!  The IDMf netlabel and community have yet again put together a phenomenal collection of independent electronic music!  It’s hard to imagine their releases getting any better but somehow they just keep raising the bar!  Anodyne Industries represents on this comp with the revamped “classic”, “Body Weapon”.  If you’ve caught any of my live performances you’ll probably recognize this one.

You can find out more details on the release on the IDMf Netlabel Website or download it directly HERE.  You can stream the entire release below (assuming I embeded the Soundcloud set properly).

AI: Countermeasures 03

Posted in Mixes with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on August 26, 2010 by Anodyne

This episode of Countermeasures is brought to you by the letters A and ITransmission 03 drifts through layers of 170 bpm beats from dark ambience to glitch and forward thinking DnB.  It’s hard to imagine that this entire mix is all the same speed (with the exception of the last song…)  This just goes to show that if so many different beats can be worked into a mix on one speed, imagine what a DJ can do with multiple BPMs!

Tracklist:

Anthony Rother – Databank/Nuklearer Winter
Panacea & Xingu Hill – The Outpost
Hecq – 0006
Bop – Random Thoughts
Ibunshi – Luminous Two
Dj Teebee – Bioform
Royalston – The Test
Paperclip – Mechadroid
Misanthrop – Going Down
Broken Note – Meltdown
Heist – Sprout (Breakage Remix)
How To Destroy Angels – The Space In Between
Access To Arasaka – Waiting War

Download Anodyne Industries Music FREE!!!

I just got word that my music is available on some free MP3 site.  I wouldn’t mind much if it weren’t for the fact that “The Combat Singles” are up there too.  You know, those tracks I put up for sale and only charged $1 a piece for.

On one hand I’m flattered that people want my music so bad they’d pirate it.  On the other hand I’m kind of pissed and feel more than a little betrayed.  I could care less about the money I’m losing from people possibly downloading the songs.  I didn’t make much to begin with.  What really bothers me is that I know everyone that bought the EP and everyone I sent it to.  Which means one of you guys felt like it was worth the trouble to post my music up online so people didn’t have to pay the price of a cup of coffee for it.

Wow, thanks whoever you are.  I appreciate you paying for the release.  I can only hope you hyped up the “free” version you posted online to all of your friends and family so they too can experience the sheer awesomeness of Anodyne Industries.

Generation Bass: Drumstep Friday’s!!

Posted in Announcements with tags , , , , , , , , on August 17, 2010 by Anodyne

Last Friday the bass music blog Generation Bass featured “The Combat Singles” in their weekly spot Drumstep Fridays!!

Aside from the fact that they run a fantastic blog with daily updates (!!) the drumstep feature solidified my love for Generation Bass.  Say what you will about drumstep (I’m still not sure I like that name…) but anything with roots in DnB is fine with me.
